Ingredients

  • 8 oz macaroni
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Velvetta
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs plus 1 tbs paprika

Step 1

Boil pasta until al dente, according to the package. Drain and rinse with cool water to stop cooking. and return to the pan you boiled it in. Set aside
Preheat oven to 375
Over medium heat melt butter. Add flour, salt, mustard, pepper, and 1/8 tsp. paprika. Whisk until blended. Add cheeses. whisk 10 mintes until thickened.
Pour sauce over noodles and toss gently until well covered. Set aside.
Mix bread crumbs and 1 tbs paprika.
Sprinkle half on bottom of casserole. Pour noodle mixture into casserole and top with remaining bread crumb mixture.
Bake 25 to 35 minutes, until it starts getting slightly dry and a bit brown on top.
