Easy Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 jar Ragu Tomato & Basil Light Pasta Sauce—26 oz.
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 12 oz. mozzarella cheese, part skim milk
  • 2 c. cottage cheese, lowfat OR fat free ricotta
  • 1/2 c. parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles, UNCOOKED
  • dash salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Brown ground turkey and drain fat. Add sauce and water to meat and simmer for 10 minutes. Combine all cheeses and eggs, salt and pepper in large bowl. Pour 1 c. of sauce mixture in a 9 X 13 pan. Layer 3 pieces uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce, cover with 1 cup sauce and then half of the cheese mixture, then repeat the layering, so you have noodles, sauce, cheeses, then add noodles again and top off with the sauce. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 55 minutes min. at 350 degrees. Remove foil and bake 10 minutes longer. Allow to cool 15 minutes before cutting. A very important step to keep it together when cutting. Plan ahead to allow this time.
