Black Beans and Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and saute for 5 minutes. The onion should stay crisp, but not brown.
Add the beans and cook for 3 to 4 minutes longer, until the onion is translucent. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
