Mulled Wine

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • Half lemon, sliced thin
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 bottle red dinner wine
  • (burgundy or claret)

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve sugar in boiling water in saucepan
Add remaining ingredients
Pour into slow cooker
Heat on low for at least 1 hour, until wine is hot. Do not boil.
Serve from slow cooker into mugs.
