  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped Fisher® Chef's Naturals Walnut Halves and Pieces

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Whisk eggs, milk, flour, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until just blended; set aside.

Melt butter in an ovenproof non-stick skillet over high heat. Add the apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and cook, stirring frequently, until the apples are soft, about 6 minutes. Add brown sugar and walnuts, and cook, stirring until the apples are browned and very soft, 2 to 3 minutes longer.

Pour the reserved batter over top of the apples. Place skillet into the oven and bake until the pancake is golden brown and puffed, about 12 to 15 minutes. Pancake will rise on the sides more than in the center during baking. Invert onto a serving plate and serve immediately.
