Make Ahead Angel Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pinch of soda
  • 1/8 c sugar
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1/4 c warm water
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 c buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

dissolve yeast in warm water
Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening
Stir in buttermilk and yeast and blend well.
Can be refrigerated for up to 3 days
Knead dough lightly on floured board
Roll out and cut with cutter
Place on greased baking sheet and let rise slightly
Bake at 4oo until lightly brown
