Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 30 g yeast
- 1/4 liter of milk, lukewarm
- 100 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- Grated zest of 1 lemon and 1 orange
- 100 g ground almonds
- 300 g raisins
- 50 g walnuts, chopped
- 400 g almond paste
- For decoration
- 50 g butter
- 50 g flaked almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Flour in a bowl and make a well in it. Put here the yeast and mix a little with the lukewarm milk and some of the flour. Covered in a warm place for 15 minutes to leave.
Melted butter with the sugar, egg, salt, lemon and orange zest, ground almonds, walnut pieces and raisins make the dough. Knead until a cohesive dough.
The dough in a warm place to rise covered, until doubled in volume. Good kneading, and then roll out light to a rectangular slice. Form of the almond paste a long roll and place it in the middle of the dough (along the length). Roll the bread and shape it into a fruitcake and place on a baking sheet.
Another 30 minutes to rise. Brush the bread with melted butter and sprinkle with almonds.
Preheat oven to 220 degrees C. The bread 40-60 minutes.
