Ingredients
- 12 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 lbs lean ground beef (or venison)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 Tbs paprika
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- salt and pepper
- 1 Tbs dried marjoram
- 24 oz tomato sauce
- 2 Tbs (rounded) reduced-fat sour cream
- chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tsp brummel & brown
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
1. While the macaroni is cooking, heat a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and brown.
2. Grate an onion into the pot with a hand grater. Add garlic and seasonings.
3. Mix in tomatoes. heat through, then stir in sour cream.
4. Drain macaroni and toss with butter or oil, parsley and caraway seeds.
