Tuna and White Bean Salad

  • 1 can drained tuna or 1 2.5 oz pouch
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 red pepper cut into cubes
  • 1/4 C chopped red onion
  • Fresh basic, chopped and to taste
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 T lemon zest


Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 10mins


Step 1

Mince garlic and mash to a paste with the back of a spoon

Mix garlic paste with lemon juice salt and pepper and slowly whisk in olive oil

Toss red pepper onion and beans together

Break apart tuna and mix into bean mixture

Add dressing and toss well

Add basic just before serving
