Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 c. evaporated milk
  • 3 tsp. vanilla or more to taste
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon or more to taste
  • 6 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 8 c. bread, torn or cut into small pieces
  • 1 c. raisins, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Mix milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Heat until milk mixture just comes to a boil.
Cool.

Place eggs in large mixing bowl. Stir in salt and sugar. Add cooled milk mixture, bread, vanilla and cinnamon. Place into 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour.

Remove from oven and sprinkle top with 3 tablespoons melted butter.
