  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 16 pecan halves
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup raisins

Step 1

Pour butter into bottom well-greased and floured 12-cup bundt pan; cool 15 minutes. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Press nuts firmly into sugar mixture. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; stir in orange juice and rind. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Sift together 2 1/2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Combine raisins and remaining 1/4 cup flour; fold into batter. Carefully spoon batter into pan. Bake at 325 degrees, 1 hour and 5 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in enter comes out clean, remove from pan immediately.
