Ingredients
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups walnuts chopped
- 35 large marshmallows
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons green creme de menthe
- 3 tablespoons creme de cacao
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream whipped
Preparation
Step 1
CRUST:
Melt chocolate chips and butter in top of a double boiler. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add chopped walnuts. Mix well. Pour mixture into a pie plate which has been lined with aluminum foil. Press mixture evenly over bottom and up the sides of the pie plate. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set.
FILLING:
Cook marshmallows, milk, and salt in top of a double boiler. Stir until marshmallows melt. Remove from heat and stir in liqueurs. Refrigerate until cooled and slightly thickened. Fold whipped cream into marshmallow mixture.
ASSEMBLY:
Remove foil from pie shell, and return shell to plate. Pour in pie filling. Refrigerate or freeze for at least 1 hour before serving.
