Tilapia with Walnuts & Oregano

  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 lg shallot, minced
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 gr. onions
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano


Servings 4
Preparation time 5mins
Cooking time 15mins


Step 1

In a large skillet, heat oil. Add the shallots and sauté until softened. Add the fillets and sauté on top of the shallots for 3 minutes. Turn and cook 1 minute longer until the fish is white and flakes when pulled apart with a fork. Remove to platter and keep warm. Meanwhile, sauté the walnuts, green onion and oregano for 2 minutes. Top the fillets with the walnut mixture and serve.
