Lacy Oatmeal Crisps

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan combine brown sugar, shortening & butter. Cook and stir over low heat till butter melts, remove from heat. Stir in oats, baking soda & salt. Add egg, mix well. Drop from tsp onto cookie sheet, 3" apart. Bake at 375 for 6 to 7 min. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet.
