- 4 Onions, thinly sliced
- 4 Tbs. Unsalted Butter
- 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 8 C. Beef Broth
- 2 Bay Leaves
- Mozzarella Cheese or Gruyere for topping
- Croutons

Preparation
Step 1
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the butter until melted. Add onion and sauté for about 10 minutes. When onions start to brown, cover the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Place onions in slow cooker. Add minced garlic, beef broth, and bay leaves, and stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve in individual bowls topped with a toasted baguette slice and melted gruyere cheese
