Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Using a pastry blender cut in shortening until crumbly.
Stirring with a fork, add milk until a soft moist dough is formed, use more milk if necessary.
On a floured board knead lightly until dough is no longer sticky.
Roll out to a 1/2" thick and cut with a 2" floured cutter.
Bake in 450F oven for 10 - 12 minutes until lightly browned.
