Ingredients
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon pickling salt
- 2 tablespoons dill seed
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 whole peppercorns
Preparation
Step 1
Fill each jar with washed cucumbers. Add dill seed, garlic cloves and peppercorns.
Combine vinegar, water and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Pour boiling vinegar mixture over cucumbers to within 1/2 inch of rim.
Process 10 minutes for pints and 15 minutes for quarts.
I made 9 quarts; I used 8 cups vinegar and 8 cups of water and there was enough left over to do another quart.
