Pastel Cookies

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup shortening (can use part butter or margarine)
• 3-oz. package of Jello powder
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar, jello powder, eggs and vanilla. Add to mixture of flour, baking powder and salt.

Shape into 3/4" balls. Place 3" apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Flatten each with a drinking glass dipped in sugar.

Bake at 400 deg. for 6 - 8 minutes.

(Can use any flavour of Jello powder.)
