Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 2 (1-1/2 qt.) vanilla ice cream
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350*. Line 2 9x13 pans with parchment paper. Leave a 2" overhang on the long side. Grease with cooking spray. In a large bowl, prepare cake mix. Divide evenly between both pans and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Let cool completely.
Using a wooden spoon, poke holes alternating rows of 3 and 4 evenly spaced.
Invert the other cake onto a platter and cover with vanilla ice cream spreading to create an even layer. Place the cakes with the holes on top and gently press in the ice cream. Smooth the ice cream along the sides then put in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until ready to serve.
