Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
- 1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
- 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
- Extra granulated sugar to sprinkle on cookies
Preparation
Step 1
Cream together butter, sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, almond and coconut flavorings. Add egg. Mix flour and baking powder thoroughly, then add slowly to creamed butter/cream cheese/egg mixture. Combine well, then chill in refrigerator for 2 hours. Roll dough out to about 1/8-inch thick and cut out cookies. Bake for 8 minutes in 350 degree oven. Sugar sprinkles may be added before baking, but cool before icing.
