Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked or canned pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 1 package one step angel food cake mix
- 12 ounce carton of whipped topping
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl combine pumpkin, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Fold one quarter of batter into pumpkin mixture.
Gently fold in remaining batter.
Gently spoon into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan.
Bake on Lois oven rack at 350° for 38 to 44 minutes.
Immediately invert pan onto wire rack.
Cool completely, about one hour.
Run knife around side of cake and remove to a serving plate.
Garnish each slice with whipped topping.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
