Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

• 1 pre baked pie shell
• 1 1/2 c sugar
• 1/4 c cornstarch
• 1/4 teas. salt
• 3 c whole milk
• 4 egg yolks whisked
• 6 1/2 oz. bittersweet chocolate chopped into pieces
• 2 teas. vanilla
• 2 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saucepan combine the sugar, salt, cornstarch, milk, and egg yolks. Bring to a boil Stirring occasionally. (it will thicken quickly) Remove from heat, and add the chocolate stirring until it is all melted. Add the vanilla and the butter. Stir well and pour into prepared pie shell.

Cool for 4hrs
