Peking Pork Chops

Ingredients
- 6 (4- to 5-oz.) lean pork chops
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon five spice powder
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Place pork chops in a slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; pour evenly over the pork chops. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
LC SERVING SUGGESTION: Stir-fried snow peas and Cauli-Rice (process cauliflower in a blender or food processor until it resembles grains of rice; steam “rice” till tender; drain; salt and pepper to taste and fluff with a fork).
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve brown rice instead of Cauli-Rice.
KOSHER: Use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of pork chops.
GLUTEN FREE: Make sure soy sauce and ketchup are gluten free.
