Macadamia Encrusted Goat Cheese


Delicious combination when served with mango salsa.

Macadamia Encrusted Goat Cheese 1 Picture


  • 6 rounds Lahvosh (cracker bread cut into 3" strips) or flat bread crackers
  • 2 TB olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pkg goat cheese, cut into 2" rounds
  • 1/2 c Macadamia nuts, toasted and chopped
  • 2 TBs soy sauce
  • 2 TBs mirin

Step 1

For Lahvosh bread: Preheat oven to 350. Place strips on baking sheet and brush with 1 TB olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
Goat Cheese: Roll each round in nuts to coat. Press nuts into cheese to help them stick.
Heat 1 TB olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add goat cheese rounds and cook for 1 minute on each side.
Remove pan from heat. Mix soy sauce and mirin and drizzle over cheese.
Serve warm goat cheese with mango salsa and crackers.
