Butterscotch Rice Krispy Bars

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Layer:
  • 12 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips
  • 1 c. peanut butter (10.2)
  • 8 c. Rice Krispies (7.8 oz)
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • Alternate Chocolate layer:
  • 3 Tbsp heaping cocoa
  • 2 T butter
  • Powdered sugar (aprox. 1/2 c.)
  • Milk (aprox 1-2 Tbsp)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter together in microwave. Add Rice Krispies and spread half of mixture in pan.

Melt chocolate layer ingredients together and spread over first half of Rice Krispy mixture. Spread second half of rice krispy mixture over top and refrigerate.

Alternate frosting:
Melt butter and add cocoa. Add powdered sugar and milk alternately until you get the consistency you want.
