Deep Dish Taco Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 c. biscuit mix
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 T. onion, chopped
  • 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8-oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c. mayo
  • paprika

Preparation

Step 1

1.Combine biscuit mix and water, stirring with a fork until blended. Press mixture in bottom of a lightly greased 12- X 8- X 2-in. baking dish. Bake at 375 for 9 minutes.
2.Cook ground beef, green pepper, and onion in a large skillet until meat is browned, stirring to crumble meat; drain well. Stir in tomato sauce; spoon over crust.
3.Combine sour cream, cheese, and mayo in a medium bowl; spoon over top of meat mixture. Sprinkle top evenly with paprika. Bake at 375, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until casserole is lightly browned. Cut into squares to serve.
