Sweet-and Sour Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbls brown sugar
  • 2 Tbls vinegar
  • 2 Tbls water
  • 1 Tbls oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Dash black pepper
  • 2 Cups shredded red cabbage
  • 3/4 cup chopped or shredded apple (1 small)

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet combine the brown sugar, vinegar, water, oil, salt and pepper.
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until hot, stirring ocassionally.
Stur in the cabbage and apple.
Cook, covered, over medium-low heat about 5 minutes or until cabbage is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
Serve with slotted spoon.
