Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs fresh broccoli, chopped with tough stems discarded
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 2 cups fat-free milk
- 1/2 cup cubed reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
1. Place broccoli and margarine in 4-quart or larger slow cooker and add enough water to cover both.
2. Cover. Cook on high 1 to 2 hours.
3. Add milk. Cook 15 more minutes.
4. Stir in cheese and continue cooking until cheese is melted into soup.
