Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 2 eggs
  • Fresh parsley
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 lb 80% ground beef
  • Warm water
  • Gravy:
  • Olive oil
  • Sausage
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 4 cans (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • Fresh oregano basil, fennel

Preparation

Step 1

Cover pot with 1/4 inch of oil. Brown sausage and three cloves of garlic. Add tomatoes. Simmer, half covered for 4 hours. 30 minutes before end add herbs.

For meatballs, add eggs, parsley, breadcrumbs, and beef. Mix well. Add water, about 1/4 cup, to mixture. Roll and dip in water. Brown in oil. Add oil and meatballs to gravy. (Can add two hours into gravy)
