Tart Crust (No Roll, Martha)

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 1 cup ice cold butter, cut in small chunks
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 Cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 3 egg yolks

Preparation

Step 1

Combine above in food processor (Pulse until like cornmeal) add 1 cup sifted confestioners sugar, pulse, add 3 egg yolks. Turn out on to plastic wrap and form into ball. Refrigerate AT LEAST 1 hour.

With box grater on coarse side, grate the ball of crust into removable bottom tart pan and press into place and refrigerate before baking.

Place parchment paper inside tart shell and weigh down with beans or pie weights. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
