Ingredients
- 2-10 ounce packages of frozen sliced strawberries in juice, thawed
- 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
- 1 3 ounce pkg. strawberry jello
- 1 white cake mix (the ones with the pudding in it work best)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
Grease 9x13 pan. Line pan with marshmallows. Make cake mix according to directions. Pour gently over marshmallows. In bowl combine thawed strawberries with jello. Spoon evenly over cake batter to cover completely. Bake for 45 minutes. Top of cake should be golden. Cool 10 minutes. Run knife around edges to loosen.
Top pan with foil lined cookie sheet. Flip cake over onto cookie sheet. You will have an upside down strawberry cake! When you bake this cake the strawberries sink and the marshmallows rise. Serve warm with whipped cream or cool whip.
