Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c a. p. flour
- 1 1/3 c sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c shortening
- 1 c low fat milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs

Preparation
Step 1
. Sift together the dry ingredients except the sugar
. Cream the shortening and add the sugar continue creaming for 2 minutes
. Add in the eggs one at a time and the vanilla
. Add in the dry ingredients one cup at a time, mix thoroughly
. Divide the batter evenly between 2 8" greased round cake pans, and bake at 350 degrees
