APPLE/OATMEAL COFFEE CAKE

Ingredients

• 1/2 c softened butter
• 1 c buttermilk
• 3 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 large egg
• 1/2 c sugar
• 1 1/2 c peeled, seeded, chopped apples
• 1 3/4 c a. p. flour
• 1 c brown sugar
• 3/4 c oats

Preparation

Step 1

.Make streusel with the:3/4c oats, 1c brown sugar and the 1 3/4c flour

. Sift together the dry ingredients

. Cream the 1/2c butter and the sugar, add the egg, add in the dry ingredients and the buttermilk, mix thoroughly and fold into the apples

. Pour batter evenly into a greased tube pan and sprinkle topping onto the batter and bake until done
