Nanny's Sausage and Peppers in Mushroom Gravy

  • 2 lbs Sweet or Hot Italian Sausages, cut into bite size pieces
  • 4 Green Peppers sliced
  • 1 Large Onion sliced
  • 2 cans Mushroom Gravy
  • 8 oz Sliced Mushrooms (optional)



Step 1

Brown sausage in a pan with a bit of olive oil.

Remove the sausage when fully cooked, set aside.

Sauté green peppers,onions and mushrooms in the same pan. Add olive oil if needed.

Add mushroom gravy to the peppers,onions and mushrooms, scraping the pan to get all of the bits.

Return sausage back to the pepper,onion and mushroom mixture.


It's good with mashed potatoes.
