Ingredients
- tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cups snow peas
- 1/2 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine
- 1-1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon five spice
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste

Step 1
What you do:
1. To a large frying pan or wok over medium heat, add sesame oil; heat until hot. Add the snow peas, mushrooms, garlic, and ginger; cook for a few minutes until warm.
2. In a bowl, combine the vegetable broth and cornstarch until no clumps remain. Add to the pan; let the broth reduce for another few minutes.
3. Add the cooking wine, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, sugar, five spice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; cook until the sauce is thick
