Barbecued Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 pork shoulder roast(about 2 1/2 pounds)
  • 1 bottle(14 oz) barbeque sauce
  • 1 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 t. packed brown sugar
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 8 hamburger buns or hard rolls

Cooking time 615mins

Step 1

Place roast in crockpot. Cover; cook on low-10-12 hours or on high 5-6 hours.
Remove roast from crockpot; discard cooking liquid.
Shred pork using 2 forks.
Return pork to pot.
Add BQ sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar and onion.
Cover; cook on low 2 hours or on high 1 hour.
Serve shredded pork on buns.

Tip: For a 5, 6, or 7 qt. pot increase BQ sauce to 21 oz.
