Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 4 cups stock (chicken or turkey)
- Pan drippings from roast turkey (if making turkey gravy)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh ground Pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Combine melted butter and flour, mix thoroughly and reserve.
In a saucepan, bring the stock and pan dripping to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer.
Add butter/flour mixture or "roux".
Whisk vigorously to avoid lumps.
Cook sauce for 10-15 minutes over low heat.
Season with salt and pepper.
