  • 1 pound beef, tender, cut in strips
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, medium
  • 1 cup cut green beans, raw or frozen
  • 1 green pepper, small, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup liquid, juice from mushrooms plus water
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 4 oz. can mushrooms
  • pimentos, for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat in hot oil in large heavy skillet.
Add next 4 ingredients and cook 3 to 5 minutes.(you want the vegetables crisp).
Combine cornstarch, soy sauce, liquid, and seasonings,
add to skillet, stirring to mix thoroughly.
Add mushrooms. Stir coking until liquid is clear and shinny and beans are tender.
Garnish with pimentos Serve with rice..
