- 2 pounds pork ribs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
- 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Place ribs in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 30 minutes, drain fat from pan.
In a heavy saucepan, mix apple sauce, syrup, paprika, garlic powder and cinnamon. Over medium-high heat, bring the sauce to the boiling point and continue boiling for one to two minutes.
Brush prebaked ribs liberally with the sauce. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn ribs and bush underside with remaining sauce. Continue baking for another 10 minutes.
