pouch of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
8oz pkg cream cheese
teaspoon almond extract
Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, pineapple, grapes, mandarin oranges, or whatever you like.
cup orange juice
cup lemon juice
(Hint: You may want to make glaze first so it can be cooling.) Cookie Base: Make cookie dough according to directions on package. Grease one pizza pan or a Wilton's giant cookie pan. (I grease pan and use parchment paper.) Spread dough into pan and bake at 350 degrees until top of cookie is slightly brown. Remove cookie from pan and cool. Spread: Blend all ingredients well and spread on cooled cookie. Fruit: Arrange fruit on top of cream cheese layer. Glaze: Mix sugar and cornstarch until well blended then add liquids. Bring to boil and continue cooking about one minute or until thick. Cool and spread over fruit covering all fruit to help prevent browning and help hold fruit in place. (I usually use my hands to pat glaze onto fruit to make sure everything is covered to pack fruit down a little so that it stays in place better when you cut slices.)
