Norteño - Spicy Margarita

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Roca Patrón Silver
  • 3 oz fresh lime sweet and sour
  • 1/2 oz green chile juice
  • green chile salt
  • Hatch green chile

Preparation

Step 1

1. To make fresh lime sweet and sour, mix 1½ oz fresh lime juice, ¾ oz Patrón Citrónge, and ¾ oz simple syrup.
2. To make green chile juice, remove stem and seeds from 2 Hatch green chiles, dice the chiles, purée in a blender with 1 cup water, then fine strain.
3. To make green chile salt, mix 1 part green chile powder with 2 parts salt.
4. Rim a highball glass with green chile salt.
5. Shake remaining ingredients with ice and pour into glass.
6. Garnish with Hatch green chile.
