Ingredients
- 1/2 lb mild Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 cup grated teleme cheese
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, coarsely ground
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf (Italian) parsley
- Salt
- 12 large jalapeno chiles, halved lengthwise and seeded
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
Crumble the sausage in a bowl. Add the cheese, fennel seeds, and parsley and season with salt. Stir to combine. Set aside.
Season the jalapenos with salt and spoon about 1 Tbsp of the sausage mixture into each half.
Arrange the jalapenos in a single layer on a baking sheet, stuffed side up, and bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Serve right away.
