    c of milk

  • 1

    stick of butter cut into pieces

  • 1/2

    c sugar and 1tsp.

  • 1

    pkg. yeast

  • 1/2

    c warm water

  • 3

    eggs lightly beaten

  • 1 1/2

    tsp. salt

  • 6

    c a. p. flour

Directions

. Place milk, 1/2c sugar, butter in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer stirring constantly until sugar dissolves, let cool to room temperature . Bloom yeast in room temperature water and 1tsp. of sugar . Combine 1/2 of the flour with wet ingredients and mix in a stand mixer, add the rest of the flour one cup at a time, knead dough until it forms a ball and pulls away from the side of the mixing bowl, dough should be moist but not overly sticky, to reach this consistency a little extra flour may be added in small amounts during mixing and kneading . Place dough in a greased bowl and cover set bowl in a warm place and let dough rise for an hour, punch down, cut dough into even size pieces, roll into balls and place into baking pan, let rise again, brush the tops of the rolls with a little water or milk and bake in a 350 degree oven until tops are golden brown
