Spareribs, Sauerkraut and Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds spareribs
  • 1 Tbs fat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 quart sauerkraut
  • 1 Tbs brown sugar
  • 6 potatoes
  • 2 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

Brown spareribs in hot fat, add salt and pepper. Put sauerkraut in bottom of large, shallow casserole and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place ribs and potatoes over kraut. Add water and bake for an hour and a half in 350 degree oven.
