German Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 Small Head Cabbage, shredded
  • 4-6 Slices Bacon
  • 3 or 4 Green Onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbs. Mild Vinegar
  • 2 Tbs. Water
  • 1 Tbs. Sugar
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 Hard Boiled Eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Shred cabbage and soak in ice water for 1/2 hour or longer. Drain thoroughly. Dice bacon and fry until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon add onion, vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper to drippings. Bring to boil and pour over cabbage. Sprinkle bacon over top and garnish with slices of hard boiled eggs.
