  • Crust:
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • Filling:
  • 1 (8 oz.) Pkg. Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 4 Cups Apple Slices
  • 1/4 Cup Sliced Almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla; blend in flour. Spread dough onto bottom and 2 inches high around the sides of a 9" spring form pan. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing well until blended. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Pour into pastry-lined pan. Combine sugar and cinnamon; toss with apples. Spoon apple mixture over cream cheese layer; sprinkle with nuts, if desired. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 400; continue baking for 25 minutes.
