Light Sesame Chicken

Light Sesame Chicken 1 Picture


  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed with a garlic press
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken cutlets, cut into 2- inch chunks
  • Kosher salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 pounds broccoli florets
  • Brown Rice for serving



Step 1

1.Make sauce: In a small bowl, combine honey, sesame seeds, soy sauce and garlic;set aside. In a large bowl, whisk cornstarch with egg whites. Add chicken;season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
2. In a large non stick skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil over medium heat. Add half the chicken; cook, turning occasionally until golden and opaque throughout about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to plate; repeat with remaining tbsp of oil and chicken. return all the chicken to the skillet; add reserved scallions and sauce and toss to coat
3. Steam Broccoli and prepare brown rice
4. Serve chicken with broccoli and brown rice
