Cheesy Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 stick (8 Tbsp.) butter
  • 8 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 large can Green Beans
  • 1/4 cup bean juice

Step 1

Drain green beans, reserving 1/4 cup. Please green beans in a greased casserole dish. Set aside.

In a sauce pan, melt butter. On a plate mix flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually stir in flour mixture in butter with whisk.

Stir in milk until it thickens; stirring constantly.

With a spoon, stir in cheese and bean juice. Remove from heat and stir until cheese melted.

Pour cheese mixture over green beans and stir gently to combine.

Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes covered. Remove covered and bake an additional 15 minutes to brown the top.
