Ingredients

  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 4 T soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 5 T peanut oil
  • 1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 T oyster sauce
  • 1 1/4 c chicken broth low sodium
  • 4 thin slices of peeled ginger
  • 1 head of broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 large onion large diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Preparation

Step 1

. Whisk together 1T cornstarch, 3T soy sauce, 1tsp. sugar, 1T peanut oil in a large bowl add the steak and marinade

. Whisk the remaining each 1T of cornstarch, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and the chicken broth in a small bowl and set aside

. Heat 1T of peanut oil in a large skillet over high heat, add the ginger, broccoli, and the remaining 1tsp. of sugar and stir fry 3-4 minutes set aside, repeat for the onion

. Add the rest of the oil to the pan and cook the beef and garlic stir in the sauce and simmer 1 minute, stir in the onion and broccoli
