Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup white vinegar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 (16-ounce) packages shredded green cabbage
Preparation
Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Place cabbage in a large bowl and add vinegar mixture, tossing until well mixed. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
